[21 Dec 2009|05:30pm] welcome to the berkshire school! the berkshire school is a small college preparatory day school serving grades nine through twelve, located in the mountainside town of sheffield, massachusetts. one of the oldest college preparatory schools in the state, berkshire was founded in 1907 by harvard alum seaver buck. since its establishment, berkshire has evolved into a substantial and vibrant institution with appreciation for and exploration of the mountain alongside classical classroom teaching. well known for their small class sizes, community environment, and challenging courses that prepare students for the real world, the staff, faculty, and student body of berkshire pride themselves on their school's outstanding reputation. carrying the mindset that all independent college preparatory schools should offer an outstanding core experience- a first-rate academic program, distinctive opportunities in the arts, and excellent athletics- berkshire provides an exceptional college preparatory curriculum with advanced courses and advanced placement offerings in all disciplines. not only does the esteemed institution carry a strong academic reputation, they also are well known for their division one athletics program and involved student body. socialarchy follows berkshire's graduating classes of 2010 and 2011. although the majority of the students have been acquainted with each other since they were young, they certainly haven't maintained the friendships they once had with each other. while berkshire has quite the reputation for their academic excellence and student participation, clique rivalries and something else lie within the ancient hallways. here at socialarchy, we hope to create a dedicated community where activity is key! by giving our members a variety of options pertaining to their characters' cliques, classes and extracurricular involvement, we hope to create an environment where creativity can really prosper. although your character is limited to a specific clique, we hope that you all will think outside the box with your characters and would hope to see a diverse group of people! diversity is what we strive for here at socialarchy; betrayal, scandal and the like are merely an added bonus. cliques • more cliques • clubs • sports • classes • teachers • calendar
